Currently, we provide vocational training to women in Bainet, Haiti through our CEPROFAM program where the women have an opportunity to learn a trade such as baking, sewing, embroidery, cooking, and how to craft unique jewelry and gift items through our artisan program. In addition, the women receive life skills training. Currently, the women are working outside under a makeshift tent, and the additional funds are needed to help complete the construction of the center so the woman can have shelter and receive training indoors.
The women’s center building will also serve as a cultural center for the community and house a library to promote literacy among the men, women, and children of Bainet, Haiti.
